Job Description

Intel is seeking a highly skilled Platform Support Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our lab environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the lab environment to ensure smooth operation and efficient testing.
  • Deploy and troubleshoot automated tests, identify and resolve setup issues, and perform electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting to establish problems in non-functioning lab equipment.
  • Design and develop customized equipment, fixtures, and protocols to enable accurate execution of lab activities.
  • Monitor tests and quality assurance of equipment, perform equipment modifications as directed, and develop technical documentation.
  • Drive logistics management and physical setup of prototype systems and peripheral devices, monitor inventory levels, and maintain inventory reports and logs.
  • Participate in the definition, selection, procurement, commissioning, and validation of equipment and instrumentation needed for testing.
  • Ensure test results are recorded accurately and in adherence to established quality practices.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and good laboratory housekeeping, establish, maintain, and conduct routine testing of benches, testers, and other equipment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of experience, or AA/AS with 6+ years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience in building and maintaining servers and/or client systems.
  • Experience with BIOS, BMC, firmware upgrades, driver installs, and independently debugging cards, boards, and systems.
  • Strong leadership skills, communication skills, and ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience creating and modifying training and processes documentation and execution plans.
  • Experience with inventory management, shipping/receiving logistics, and removing/installing/troubleshooting server baseboards, CPUs, DIMMs, and storage devices.
  • Experience with OS installations, data center infrastructure setup, and configuration.
