In this role, you will engage in a variety of tasks to manufacture, assemble, and refurbish aircraft components and structures. Your responsibilities will include utilizing controlled tooling and adhering to blueprints. Key tasks involve aligning components on jigs with the aid of templates and fixtures, as well as drilling precision holes. You will also perform part-fitting operations, which may include filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working. You will measure components using various methods to ensure accuracy and may need to modify assemblies to implement changes or conduct repairs. Working from detailed diagrams, specifications, and shop orders, you will monitor quality and develop corrective actions as necessary. Additional duties may be assigned as required.
Essential Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in assembly, structural work, sheet metal, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., drills, inspection tools).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
