Overview

A Regional Operations Supervisor is pivotal in executing the strategic objectives of Sessions West Coast Deli.

This role embodies our core vision, mission, and values, fostering outstanding customer interactions and a fulfilling work atmosphere for all team members.

The Supervisor must possess comprehensive knowledge of all operational processes and roles, both front and back of house.

The primary focus will be on upholding performance benchmarks across all locations within their region, ensuring the attainment of Key Performance Indicators.


This includes managing Daily Sales Reports, vendor invoice oversight, inventory analysis, point-of-sale system management, troubleshooting store-level IT issues, and conducting weekly operational audits.

This position will also serve as a secondary support for handling sick calls, mail collection, cash deposits, and shift coverage as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

A Regional Operations Supervisor is accountable for mentoring and training all leaders and staff in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Supervisor will collaborate closely with culinary leaders on staff training, safety protocols, kitchen sanitation, and maintenance practices. Additionally, the Supervisor will oversee the procurement of alcoholic beverages and inventory management.

The Supervisor acknowledges the importance of effective time management, dedicating at least 60% of their workday to managerial and administrative responsibilities.

Core Duties

- Coach, instruct, and exemplify excellent customer service principles to all store personnel with unwavering commitment and enthusiasm.

- Uphold safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations across all restaurant locations.

- Verify that all current employees hold Serve Safe certifications and that all front-of-house and back-of-house leaders have completed Serve Safe Management training.


- Conduct regular facility inspections and maintain equipment through weekly assessments, repair logs, and preventive maintenance agreements with vendors.

- Execute essential responsibilities to minimize operational costs.

- Set and report on periodic and quarterly objectives.

- Continuously seek and recruit talented staff, providing training and coaching opportunities.

- Identify and nurture in-house talent for promotions.

- Participate in bi-weekly management meetings to review objectives, share best practices, and motivate the team.

- Conduct weekly operational audits.

- Manage the coordination of all catering orders received.

- Oversee labor scheduling to ensure success margins align with seasonal demands.

- Evaluate prime costs, ensuring labor and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) remain below 30%.

- Facilitate new training objectives each month.

- Handle cash deposits for each location.

- Perform any additional duties necessary to support optimal business operations.

- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu offerings.

- Understand and embody the session mission statement.

- Familiarity with the Employee Handbook.

Daily Responsibilities
- Ensure the completion of Daily Sales Reports.

- Provide analysis for daily sales by segment.

- Report any discrepancies to upper management.

- Spend time in one store while visiting two others each day.

- Assess quality, freshness, and presentation of all products.

- Engage with employees, address concerns, and resolve issues.

- Build meaningful relationships with guests.

- Ensure the store is impeccably clean, with spotless restrooms and fully operational equipment.

- Train, inspire, and mentor staff on policies, procedures, and delivering warm, genuine guest service.

- Maintain the ambiance (music, lighting, employee attire) that reflects the company's image.

Weekly Responsibilities
- Approve all Daily Sales Summary reports.

- Audit cash in safes and employee drawers.

- Complete store audits (two per week per store).

- Make all store deposits.

- Ensure all front-of-house inventories are entered, audited, and approved.

- Ensure each store has adequate cash for registers.

- Confirm that the front-of-house leader has responded to all online reviews on platforms like Yelp and Google.

- Coordinate coverage for all front-of-house leader vacations as needed.

- Cover fellow supervisor vacations or sick days as required.

- Conduct safety inspections at each store.

Monthly Responsibilities
- Perform self-health inspections at each store.

- Review Profit and Loss statements with ownership to identify areas for improvement.

Quarterly Responsibilities
- Hold an all-employee meeting at each store with ownership.

- Audit employee files, I-9 documentation, and food handler's certifications to ensure all records are complete and accurate.

Compensation
- Salary: $65, weekly PTO, and bonus incentives
