JOB SUMMARY
Oversees beverage operations and team members on a daily basis. Responsibilities encompass beverage service in dining establishments and room service.

This role aids in promoting the lounge, planning menus, upholding standards, assisting staff during busy periods, and managing liquor inventories and controls.

Aims to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget. Responsible for enforcing all legal obligations with professionalism and consistency. Identifies training needs to meet objectives and implements a training strategy. Enhances the food and beverage/culinary team by providing support in other areas as necessary.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional field.
OR
  • 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline; 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Beverage Operations
  • Ensures adherence to all food & beverage policies, standards, and procedures through training, supervision, follow-up, and hands-on management.
  • Implements established beverage policies and procedures throughout the establishment.
  • Operates in compliance with all applicable beverage and liquor regulations.
  • Understands beverage control including inventory management, portion control, cost management, and sales analysis.
  • Monitors compliance with all liquor control policies and procedures.
  • Participates in pre- and post-event meetings to understand group requirements.
  • Comprehends budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports to assist in financial management.
  • Engages in managing departmental expenses to meet or exceed budgetary goals.
  • Ensures compliance with all beverage policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintains food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Manages inventories in line with budget and business demands.
  • Assists in menu development and promotional activities as required.
Leading Beverage Team
  • Trains staff on liquor control policies and procedures.
  • Supervises staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.
  • Ensures team members understand expectations and operational parameters.
  • Communicates essential information to beverage staff regarding events.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
  • Delivers outstanding customer service.
  • Engages with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Addresses guest issues and complaints effectively.
  • Empowers team members to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Emphasizes guest satisfaction in all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement.
  • Provides constructive feedback to individuals to enhance service performance.
  • Reviews guest feedback and satisfaction results with team members.
Managing Human Resource Activities
  • Supports a departmental orientation program for new employees to receive the necessary training to excel in their roles.

The salary range for this position is $71,000 to $92,000 annually.
