Position Overview:

Wells Fargo is in search of a Senior Architect to join the Consumer Technology Architecture team. This pivotal technical role is tasked with defining and advancing the data strategy for a secure, scalable, and robust data platform architecture that meets future demands. The individual will serve as a crucial liaison among various internal departments, including financial product development, operations, marketing, digital product development, design, technology, legal, risk, and compliance. A strong foundation in Cloud technologies, Data management, Domain Driven Design, and Architecture Frameworks is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance to leadership in the development or influence of applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies to address complex business and technical challenges across multiple sectors.
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of intricate and unique challenges that necessitate comprehensive evaluation across various enterprise areas, delivering long-term, large-scale solutions that require vision, creativity, and advanced analytical thinking.
  • Translate extensive technology experience and a deep understanding of the organization’s tactical and strategic business objectives into effective technical engineering solutions.
  • Offer vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on the implementation of innovative and impactful business solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies, recommending innovations that enhance operational efficiency or provide a competitive edge.
  • Engage strategically with professionals and managers at all levels across the enterprise, serving as a trusted advisor to leadership.
  • Develop comprehensive architecture blueprints, patterns, and roadmaps for Data, Cloud, and AI/ML initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in formulating data strategies, with a strong background in cloud operational and analytical platforms.
  • At least 10 years of experience in an architectural role or equivalent, demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Cloud technologies, Data management, Domain Driven Design, Architecture Frameworks, Product Thinking, and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of strategic data or financial systems architecture within the financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in architecture strategy and road mapping, with the ability to translate strategic architecture into actionable implementation plans.
  • Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse business and technical teams.
  • Capability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, particularly senior management.
  • Strong negotiation, collaboration, and mentorship skills to foster successful relationships with other architects.
  • Ability to partner with various platform engineering and architecture teams on cross-functional architecture initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Additional Information:
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
