Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Professional to join our team as a Sr. Account Sales Manager, Government. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue for designated account packages by growing sales within existing accounts and developing new accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand customer goals and remain alert and responsive to changing customer needs
  • Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to new developments in the customer's business
  • Responsible for support of managed inventory tasks, increased contacts within the customer group and increased sales results
  • Understand Grainger's Value Proposition and explain to customers, providing solutions to grow profitable sales
  • Establish customer and market priorities to implement a strategic course of action
  • Develop and implement account strategies, to include regular business reviews for customers to maximize sales
  • Document and understand impact of customer-focused activities, to increase productivity and sales within assigned accounts
Requirements
  • Knowledge of sales forecasting, opportunity management and customer planning
  • Technological capabilities and understanding to communicate in today's business environment
  • Skills to close an action, project and resolution or sales with customers
  • Articulate plans, understand financial and total cost of ownership concepts with all levels of the organization
  • Utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions
  • Process discipline, ability to align planning goals for pipeline development
  • College or equivalent experience preferred 3+ years of direct outside sales experience
  • BIlingual preferred
