Finance Operations Manager

This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the financial systems within the department, ensuring the accuracy of data and compliance with reporting standards. The position involves researching, advising, and implementing improvements to existing processes and systems to meet operational objectives. The aim is to optimize the organization's investment in financial systems to enhance support for the finance and accounting team through system maintenance, feature enhancements, and user training.

The role includes direct service responsibilities and supervision of staff involved in the technical support and maintenance of financial applications, general ledger accounting, and the preparation and analysis of financial statements and budgets. It also encompasses the identification, design, development, and implementation of new or improved methods for accumulating, reporting, and analyzing financial data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide operational support and training for departmental financial systems.

· Ensure the integrity of data within reporting systems.

· Develop and maintain workflow processes and training materials for assigned areas.

· Research and disseminate information on new features of financial systems and alternative solutions.

· Coordinate system updates and lead testing for new functionalities.

· Troubleshoot issues related to financial systems.

· Oversee the timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close and reporting processes.

· Supervise the generation and distribution of financial statements and analytical reports.

· Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses.

· Analyze financial statements and clarify variances compared to budgets and previous periods.

· Maintain the general ledger system.

· Assist with quarterly consolidations and annual audits.

· Play a key role in developing and supporting the annual budgeting process.

· Lead special projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Manage and develop team members.

· Perform additional duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years of relevant management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Proficiency in MS Dynamics GP and Management Reporter.

· Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and complex issues while meeting deadlines.

· Advanced skills in Excel.

· CPA certification in active status is preferred.

· Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.

· Experience with financial software implementation is a plus.

· Exceptional analytical and communication skills are essential.
