Marketing Communications Coordinator

About the Role:
The Communications Coordinator will support internal company communication, and marketing research and campaigns for the BlueStar Resort & Golf network of facilities. This position also supports the Concierge department and is responsible for welcoming members and guests and responding to their needs while working at the front desk and/or entrance to the club.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.
- Create a productive and enjoyable work environment to inspire, motivate, and lead by example, with an intention to recognize team member performance.
- Manage multiple concurrent assignments, including creative design and planning, project development, and client support.
- Be aware of relevant market research studies and findings, and support marketing projects based on results.
- Copywriting for online and print marketing materials including ad campaigns, internal projects, events, web copy, social posts and competitions and other content as required.
- Manage and prepare creative for TruDigital screens throughout the community.
- Support the business-to-consumer social media presence.
- Support the development of collateral and quality-assure the brand materials.
- Provide guests and members with information, including a variety of quality choices and arrangements regarding the Club, recreation, or other activities; must have extensive knowledge of the Club and local area events.
- Maintain daily standard operating procedures for the opening and closing of the Club, including a walk through the Clubhouse for a general inspection to assure the rooms are clean, set up properly, and visually meet Clubhouse standards.
- Support all the amenity departments for a consistent member communication experience.
- Provide administrative and general office support.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field required.
- One to three years of related experience and/or training, preferably in an agency environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Fluency in social media management and strategy.
- Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- WordPress/InDesign Suite, or similar content management platforms required; basic knowledge of HTML preferred.
- Knowledge of marketing tools: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Adobe Suite, email delivery, surveys social media, public relations systems, photography and video skills, etc.
- Effective writing and proofreading skills required.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations, and keep current with trends in consumer marketing.
- Ability to understand the consumer more fully via primary and secondary research methods.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Must be flexible and adaptable.
- Must be creative and innovative and willing to work with existing standards and procedures.
- Must have problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, supervisory and employee development skills.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members and guests.
- Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Must demonstrate initiative—ability to think, work, and make independent decisions, based on sound judgment.
- Must be able to pay attention to multiple details and be comfortable working in a fast- paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
- This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, with limited travel required.
- Valid driver's license is required.
Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional indoor office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear, sit or stand for extended periods of time, walk or be able to move around the office space, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
