Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Coordinator to join our team at Shea Homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting internal company communication, marketing research, and campaigns for our BlueStar Resort & Golf network of facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to support company goals and objectives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent assignments, including creative design and planning, project development, and client support.
  • Conduct market research and analyze findings to inform marketing projects and campaigns.
  • Write and edit marketing materials, including ad campaigns, internal projects, events, web copy, social posts, and competitions.
  • Manage and prepare creative content for digital screens throughout the community.
  • Support the development of collateral and quality-assure brand materials.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to the needs and requests of staff members and guests.
  • Maintain daily standard operating procedures for the opening and closing of the Club, including a walk-through inspection to ensure the rooms are clean, set up properly, and meet Clubhouse standards.
  • Support all amenity departments for a consistent member communication experience.
  • Provide administrative and general office support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field.
  • One to three years of related experience and/or training, preferably in an agency environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Fluency in social media management and strategy.
  • Computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • WordPress/InDesign Suite, or similar content management platforms required; basic knowledge of HTML preferred.
  • Knowledge of marketing tools: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Adobe Suite, email delivery, surveys, social media, public relations systems, photography, and video skills.
  • Effective writing and proofreading skills required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations, and keep current with trends in consumer marketing.
  • Ability to understand the consumer more fully via primary and secondary research methods.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable.
  • Must be creative and innovative and willing to work with existing standards and procedures.
  • Must have problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, supervisory, and employee development skills.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members and guests.
  • Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Must demonstrate initiative—ability to think, work, and make independent decisions, based on sound judgment.
  • Must be able to pay attention to multiple details and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
  • This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, with limited travel required.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
Work Environment

This position operates in a professional indoor office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear, sit or stand for extended periods of time, walk or be able to move around the office space, use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
