Patient Service Representative

At Palomar Health Medical Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Service Representative to join our team. As the face of our organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet and check in patients, answering any questions they may have
- Manage patient flow, ensuring a positive and professional environment
- Collect patient insurance co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and prior balances
- Prepare and file patient forms, protecting patient personal health information according to HIPAA requirements
- Balance daily monies and receipts, ensuring accuracy of batch summaries and creating deposits
- Make recommendations to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient satisfaction and quality
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a medical practice setting
- Working knowledge of contracted insurances, patient benefits, and third-party requirements
