Key Responsibilities- Greet and check in patients, answering any questions they may have and ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
- Manage patient flow, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner and that the office runs efficiently.
- Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Collect patient information, including insurance and demographic data, and ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.
- Process patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance.
- Prepare and file patient forms, ensuring that all necessary information is included and that patient confidentiality is maintained.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and that the office runs smoothly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a medical setting, preferred.
- Working knowledge of contracted insurances, patient benefits, and third-party requirements preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
