Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative is a vital member of the Palomar Health Medical Group team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Document accurate patient information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and collect co-payments.
  • Prepare and file patient forms, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Balance daily monies and receipts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Make recommendations to improve processes and procedures, enhancing patient flow and satisfaction.
Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. One year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a medical setting, is preferred. Working knowledge of contracted insurances and patient benefits is a plus.
