Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, answering any questions they may have and ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner and that the office runs efficiently.
  • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Collect patient information, including insurance and demographic data, and ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Process patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance.
  • Prepare and file patient forms, ensuring that all necessary information is included and that patient confidentiality is maintained.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and that the office runs smoothly.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and providers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records and practice management software.
