Patient Service Coordinator

At Sasha Salloum Md, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing exceptional customer service, coordinating patient appointments, and managing patient records.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, assess their needs, and provide information about services and procedures.
- Appointment Scheduling: Manage and schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of provider time and resources.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
- Patient Records Management: Maintain and update patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Billing and Payments: Assist patients with billing inquiries, process payments, and explain financial policies.
- Communication: Relay important information between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Problem Resolution: Address patient concerns and complaints promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations and policies, including HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some positions may require an associate degree.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare environment or customer service role preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in EHR systems; ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Certifications: Certification in medical terminology or patient service may be advantageous.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
Location: Chula Vista/Escondido area. Candidate must be willing to relocate within a year.
