About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Habilitation Specialist to join our team at WellLife Network. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the well-being and safety of our participants by implementing individualized plans and providing support with daily activities.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement strategies that promote independence, social responsibility, and dignity.
  • Provide training and assistance with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene.
  • Monitor and document participant progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing interventions as needed.
  • Participate in various appointments and activities with participants, including medical and psychiatric appointments.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment by serving as a role model and promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Valid NYS driver's license required for driving roles.
