Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Procurement Specialist to fulfill critical responsibilities in our organization.
In this position, you will strategize and execute activities associated with the acquisition of materials, goods, and services while adhering to regulatory standards.
You will compile and assess statistical data to evaluate the viability of purchasing products and/or services. This includes sending Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to gather pricing information, reviewing bids, and making informed selections.Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and interpret engineering drawings and schematics to grasp procurement and manufacturing needs.
2. Source and procure machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging supplies, parts, services, and/or supplies essential for organizational operations.
4. Compile and analyze statistical data to assess the feasibility of purchasing products and to set pricing objectives.
5. Review proposals, negotiate pricing, and select or recommend suppliers.
6. Prepare proposal requests that align with contract requirements.
7. Solicit and award purchase orders in accordance with contract stipulations.
8. Engage in and contribute to departmental and company-wide process enhancements and lean initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Supply Chain principles, procurement processes, and concepts.
- Understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
- Experience in purchasing parts and/or services.
- Must demonstrate self-motivation with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MRP systems for over 3 years.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and lookup tables.
