Overview:


The VHS Physician of MI is seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist to join our esteemed team. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive assessment and therapeutic interventions for patients facing physical and neurological rehabilitation challenges.

As a leading institution in the healthcare sector, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence in patient care and rehabilitation services.


Our facility offers an accredited postdoctoral residency program in clinical neuropsychology, fostering the development of future professionals in the field.


We also support neuropsychology graduate students from various academic institutions, providing them with valuable hands-on experience in our Rehabilitation Psychology and Neuropsychology Department.


Additionally, our department serves as a key resource for the regional Traumatic Brain Injury System, engaging in significant longitudinal studies to enhance outcomes for individuals with TBI.


Qualifications:
Education – Ph.
D. or Psy.
D. in Clinical Psychology with specialized training in Neuropsychology, including a two-year postdoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology.

Must be eligible for licensure in Michigan.

Experience – Required:

The ideal candidate will possess experience in evaluating and treating patients with neurological disorders, particularly those who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, strokes, anoxic events, neoplastic conditions, dementia, and movement disorders.

Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams and a passion for mentoring practicum students and neuropsychology residents is highly desirable.


Certifications:

Required:
Licensed Psychologist, eligible in Michigan

Preferred:
Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology
