Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist will:

  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
  • Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques and equipment to facilitate recovery.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment processes and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certification as a Pediatric Physical Therapist.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong analytical and clinical skills to assess and address patient needs effectively.
  • Excellent communication abilities to interact with patients and their families.
  • Technical proficiency in operating therapeutic equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that require standing, lifting, and positioning patients.
