Position Overview:
The Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM), affiliated with Wayne State University's School of Medicine, is seeking a qualified Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist. RIM is recognized as a leading facility within the Detroit Medical Center network, comprising eight hospitals. This role encompasses the evaluation and treatment of patients facing physical and neurological rehabilitation challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide therapeutic interventions for individuals with neurological conditions.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Supervise neuropsychology graduate students and postdoctoral residents during their clinical practice.
Qualifications:
Education: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, with specialized training in Neuropsychology, including a two-year postdoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology. Eligibility for licensure in Michigan is required.
Experience:
- Required: Demonstrated experience in neuropsychological evaluations, particularly with patients who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, strokes, anoxic injuries, neoplastic diseases, dementia, and movement disorders.
- Preferred: Experience working within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and a commitment to mentoring practicum students and neuropsychology residents.
Certifications:
- Required: Licensed Psychologist, eligible for licensure in Michigan.
- Preferred: Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Additional Information:
