Neuropsychologist for Rehabilitation Services

Position Overview:
The VHS Physician of MI is seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist to join our esteemed Rehabilitation Institute. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive assessment and therapeutic interventions for patients facing physical and neurological rehabilitation challenges.
Our institute is recognized as a leading facility within the Detroit Medical Center network, collaborating closely with Wayne State University's School of Medicine.
As a member of our team, you will engage in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with various neurological conditions, contributing to their recovery and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough neuropsychological assessments for patients with a range of neurological disorders.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
3. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes.
4. Mentor and supervise neuropsychology graduate students and residents during their clinical practice.
5. Participate in ongoing research and outcome studies related to traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions.
Qualifications:
Education:
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) with specialized training in Neuropsychology, including completion of a two-year postdoctoral residency in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Licensure:
Must be eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Michigan.
Experience:
Required:
Demonstrated experience in neuropsychological evaluations and treatment of patients with neurological conditions, particularly those with traumatic brain injuries, strokes, dementia, and movement disorders.
Preferred:
Experience working within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation framework and a commitment to training future professionals in the field.
Certifications:
Required:
Licensed Psychologist, eligible in Michigan.
Preferred:
Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
