Position Overview:

ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Civil Engineer to become a vital part of our client's esteemed firm located in Washington. The successful candidate will be passionate about enhancing community infrastructure and fostering partnerships through creative engineering and design solutions. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

Compensation Package: $75,000 – $97,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your design expertise on a variety of projects, including municipal structures, roadways, and urban development sites.
  • Collaborate on civil engineering designs for site development initiatives.
  • Design improvements for local roads and stormwater systems, encompassing grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, water, and related tasks.
  • Engage in diverse projects such as residential subdivisions, master-planned communities, and large-scale industrial developments.
  • Conduct stormwater calculations, modeling, and report generation.
  • Work closely with clients, local authorities, sub-consultants, and internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is mandatory; Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of civil engineering design experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in stormwater modeling using software such as WWHM, MGS Flood, and others is required.
  • Familiarity with local stormwater regulations, along with the ability to prepare stormwater calculations and reports, is necessary.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills are crucial.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience interacting with staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability in advanced thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Self-driven with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
