Become a vital member of our innovative team of engineers as we embark on new adventures in the realm of space exploration. This position is integral to the Test & Flight Operations team, delivering essential support to various business units with an emphasis on the design, construction, and upkeep of ground systems, testing, and launch facilities across diverse locations.

As part of a dedicated group of engineers, you will utilize standard engineering practices to design, install, modify, analyze, repair, and evaluate structural systems for launch and testing facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop precise and comprehensive calculations and analytical models for structural systems made of steel and concrete.
  • Innovate and strategize for process enhancements in structural design.
  • Prepare detailed reports documenting the design methodology, material specifications, analysis outcomes, and other relevant information.
  • Provide ongoing technical support throughout the design and construction phases of projects.
  • Review calculations conducted by peers to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5-10 years of pertinent experience in structural engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge of AISC 360, ADM, ACI 318, ASCE 7, and AWS D1.1.
  • Familiarity with analysis software such as STAAD or Ansys Mechanical is preferred.
  • Understanding of FE best practices, nonlinear analysis, and the capability to perform hand calculations to verify computer outputs.
  • Demonstrated experience in field evaluations, structural analysis, and the design of steel and concrete structures.
  • Strong grasp of current building codes and standards.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create detailed reports and convey complex information effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly desirable.
  • Advanced engineering degree.

Compensation: The compensation range for onsite applicants in Washington is $111,690-$156,366. Other site ranges may vary.
