Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer (PE preferred) with a focus on inspection and rehabilitation (I&R) and a strong background in marine and waterfront projects to enhance our Seattle or Federal Way, WA office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates to support waterfront infrastructure projects.
- Address design challenges through field investigations, inspections, and detailed design work.
- Conduct construction quantity estimates.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of junior engineers and CAD designers as needed.
- Perform analysis, design, and inspection of waterfront structures and related maritime projects.
- Engage in structural analysis and design using timber, steel, concrete, and composite materials.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and project managers, on complex projects.
- Conduct structural site inspections and generate comprehensive inspection reports.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- A Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in waterfront design, particularly with ports, marinas, and related structures.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is required.
- Professional Registration in Washington is preferred or the ability to obtain it within one year.
- Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) projects is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD is essential.
- Familiarity with software such as SAP2000, STAAD, and LPile is preferred.
- A valid driver's license in good standing is required.
- Eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) is necessary.
- Compliance with pre-employment drug screening and background checks is mandatory.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $38.00 to $59.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, and professional registration.
Physical Requirements:
This role primarily involves office work, with occasional site visits that may require navigating uneven terrain while carrying equipment.
