Job Title:

Associate Program Officer

Job Summary:

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine seek an Associate Program Officer to support the Division on Engineering and Physical Sciences (DEPS). The successful candidate will lead assigned programs or projects, conduct research, and prepare reports. This is a benefits-eligible position with a hybrid office/telecommute environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead assigned programs or projects, including recruiting potential committee and panel nominees, communicating with stakeholders, and preparing reports.
  • Conduct research and prepare background papers and technical summaries.
  • Develop written materials and coordinate the publication of materials.
  • Represent the program/project within and outside the National Academies.
  • Collaborate with experts and sponsors from government agencies, foundations, schools, and other organizations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge.
  • Three years of related professional experience.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • US citizenship required.
Work Environment:

Hybrid office/telecommute environment, expected onsite percentage 40%, with occasional travel between National Academies facilities and to off-site meeting/sponsor locations.
