Global Impact Investing Network is on a mission to leverage funding from the EPA under the Inflation Reduction Act to swiftly implement low- and zero-emission solutions, technologies, and services across American communities. Our objectives are to (1) diminish greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants; (2) provide tangible benefits to communities, including enhanced energy security, cost savings, cleaner air, and quality employment opportunities; and (3) transform capital markets to facilitate an equitable clean energy transition at scale.
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a full-time Vice President of Operations. This role is pivotal in establishing and managing the team responsible for executing our strategic vision and overseeing program and portfolio implementation in alignment with our organizational objectives and desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of our strategic initiatives in alignment with the objectives of the National Clean Investment Fund.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team to foster a culture of operational excellence, balancing robust internal systems with a spirit of innovation.
- Manage core internal functions, including compliance, risk management, technology, and human resources.
- Ensure operational adherence to grant agreements with the EPA as part of the National Clean Investment Fund program.
- Maintain relationships with key EPA contacts and other essential stakeholders.
- Represent our brand and strategic vision at conferences and public engagements.
- Coordinate with the Board of Directors to keep them informed and engaged in organizational policies and progress.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in community and climate finance, particularly in operational and leadership capacities.
- Proven track record in managing internal operations, risk management, and compliance, ideally with experience in federal grant management.
- Experience in managing large-scale public-private partnerships and addressing diverse stakeholder needs.
- Strong leadership skills in overseeing teams focused on financial services, compliance, risk, and operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build new organizations with a focus on operational infrastructure and a culture of compliance.
- Commitment to the mission of the Global Impact Investing Network and dedication to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Willingness to travel as needed and flexibility to collaborate with teams as required.
