Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Operations Specialist to join our team at Conifer Health Solutions. As a key member of our Patient Access team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring efficient registration and admission processes, and collaborating with department leaders to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Admission: Perform patient registration, pre-admission, and admission functions, ensuring accurate and timely completion of registration processes.
  • Customer Service: Provide world-class customer service, greeting patients and families, and addressing their concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Financial Clearance: Verify insurance, benefits, and coverage, and obtain necessary authorizations for hospital services.
  • Operational Excellence: Analyze admission, discharge, and transfer (ADT) data, revenue cycle reports, and lead shift Patient Access Operations to drive process improvements and enhance patient experience.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area; 2+ years of experience in Patient Access preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in software and systems.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods, occasionally lift/carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, and frequently stand, sit, and walk. The work environment is a hospital administration setting, with potential exposure to life-threatening patient conditions.
