Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at Spaulding Rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and performing all activities associated with the outpatient service and scheduling of outpatients. This includes supporting all other front office staff in a busy pediatric rehabilitation clinic, coordinating demographic and insurance intake, computerized registration, and scheduling of patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate patient pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, and scheduling, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
- Support other center team members by answering phones, assisting with administrative tasks, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with center standards and regulatory requirements.
- Process patient satisfaction questionnaires and other administrative tasks as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Education/Degree
High school graduate required; Associate's degree preferred.
Experience
Two years experience in an office setting and/or experience with insurance benefits preferred.
Skills
Computer proficiency required; Microsoft Office applications preferred. Experience with EMR and EPIC systems preferred.
