Job Title: Patient Access Specialist

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Utilize an overlay tool to provide excellent customer service, as measured by Press Ganey, while collecting insurance information, receiving and processing physician orders, and assigning accurate MRNs.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as applicable, adhering to policies and providing excellent customer service with the appropriate level of compassion.
  • Conduct audits of accounts and assure that all forms are completed accurately and timely to meet audit standards, providing statistical data to Patient Access leadership.
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to patient visits, including inbound and outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and other patient information, including collecting point of service collections and past due balances.
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms to the patient/guarantor/legal guardian, obtain necessary signatures and witness's name, and distribute patient education documents as required.
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification system and select the applicable insurance plan code, enter benefit data into the system to support POS (Point of Service Collections) and billing processes.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • CRCR Required within 9 months of hire (Company Paid)
