Job Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for expanding the client base within their assigned territory by identifying and engaging potential clients. This role involves leading customer engagement and development initiatives.

The BDM will oversee and nurture existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities for TAS Environmental Services, LP. Reporting directly to the facility General Manager, the BDM will also collaborate with the Regional Sales Leader.

KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Preferred background in Waste Management, Transportation Services, Hazardous Waste, Industrial Cleaning, In-Plant Services, and Emergency Response Services.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current clients, creating Account Growth Plans for key accounts.
  • Build a robust customer base and foster relationships with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Regularly identify and cultivate new customer relationships, contributing to measurable revenue growth.
  • Address customer care issues promptly and effectively.
  • Achieve all Revenue Targets and Business Development Metrics.
  • Organize business development calls and meetings, preparing strategic call plans for key client interactions.
  • Engage in regular prospecting and networking activities.
  • Deliver comprehensive presentations to potential clients.
  • Implement Master Services Agreements with new clients.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives, including trade shows and seminars.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM database with client contact and activity information.
  • Contribute to the Proposal development process.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team on-site at client locations as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

Strong understanding of the environmental and industrial services sector is preferred.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to manage various variables with limited standardization and interpret diverse instructions.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY: Proficient in calculating discounts, interest, profit and loss, commission markup, selling price, ratios, proportions, and percentages. Capable of performing basic algebra.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Competent in reading a variety of materials and preparing written communications, including memos and reports, with correct grammar and punctuation.
