Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operations Leader to join our team at Amcor plc. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a manufacturing department, including safety, quality, productivity, cost, and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Leadership: Act as a safety leader and prioritize safety in all responsibilities, working closely with the EHS Manager to establish and maintain policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Quality and Productivity: Establish, maintain, communicate, and enforce safety, quality, waste, and productivity standards to meet plant goals, ensuring department housekeeping meets 5S and GMP standards.
  • Performance Management: Oversee and manage the Performance Control System (PCS) for the department, including establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), auditing supervisor/operator shift meetings, and leading department meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work with the Plant Leadership team to identify continuous improvement opportunities and assist in executing CI efforts to address these opportunities.
  • Supervision and Development: Supervise salaried staff, including hiring, terminations, recognition, discipline, training, employee relations, performance management, and salary administration.
  • Investigations and Compliance: Ensure investigations are completed for any injuries, incidents, and near misses, and follow-up action items are completed in a timely manner.
  • Capital Projects and Customer Satisfaction: Recommend capital projects and ensure needs, ROI, and KPIs related to these projects are documented and submitted according to Amcor policies, and investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Standard Operating Conditions and Productivity: Ensure accurate Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs) are in place and followed, and maintain productivity standards based on SOCs, best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Culture and Values: Promote a strong safety culture and environment, adhere to Amcor values, and contribute to a high-performance culture.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree with emphasis on a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
