Position Overview

The Clinical Audiologist plays a crucial role in conducting comprehensive audiological assessments to identify various hearing impairments. This position involves providing hearing aid evaluations, selections, and fittings for diverse patient demographics. Additionally, the Audiologist will perform extensive diagnostic procedures, including Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR), Electronystagmography (ENG), Electrocochleography (ECOG), and Auditory Steady-State Response (ASSR), among others. Patient counseling regarding test outcomes and discussing suitable hearing care solutions is a key responsibility.

The successful candidate will work alongside a team of experienced audiologists, otolaryngologists, and a cohort of AuD students within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary healthcare environment. The Audiologist will also be expected to mentor AuD students and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across various specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting diagnostic evaluations for both pediatric and adult patients, including otoscopy, tympanometry, and pure tone and speech audiometry.
  • Performing hearing aid assessments and fittings.
  • Providing follow-up evaluations and programming for hearing aids.
  • Taking ear mold impressions.
  • Conducting cerumen management.
  • Administering vestibular assessments and treatments, including Videonystagmography and dynamic platform posturography.
  • Executing Auditory Brainstem Response evaluations for threshold searches and neurodiagnostic purposes.
  • Evaluating and programming implantable hearing devices, including Bone Anchored Hearing Aids (Baha).
  • Assessing and programming cochlear implants.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Audiology (AuD) or a Master's degree in Audiology, with the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) and eligibility for licensure in Kentucky.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is preferred.
