San Francisco, California, United States Pair Team Full time
About Pair Team

We're on a mission to improve the wellbeing of underserved communities by connecting them to high-quality care. Our community-led model cares for the highest-need Medicaid recipients, and we build local partnerships with shelters, food pantries, and other community-based organizations to turn them into sites of care.

We provide wraparound clinical services, up-skill CBO staff to become Community Health Workers, and utilize our proprietary data-driven technology platform, Arc, for care coordination. Through Medicaid MCOs, we provide healthcare for hard-to-reach, high-need individuals, while sharing healthcare dollars with community groups to expand their social support programs.

About the Opportunity

As the VP of People at Pair Team, you'll play a critical role in scaling our most important asset: our team. You'll own the people strategy and drive execution of the people roadmap with HR, talent acquisition and onboarding, total rewards/compensation and benefits, the employee lifecycle, and learning and development.

The mission-critical products you work on will shape every employee's experience at Pair Team. This is a fully remote position reporting up to the CEO.

What You'll Do
  • Scale a rapidly growing care delivery organization to 500+ over the next 18 months and ensure compliance across a highly regulated healthcare environment
  • Forecast hiring needs on both the care delivery and corporate teams to hit company goals
  • Anticipate obstacles and proactively identify and implement solutions to stay ahead of the growth of the business
  • Define the People team roadmap and own, track, and regularly report on key people metrics
  • Define, nurture, and champion our culture, values, and mission in a remote work environment
  • Develop new playbooks and capabilities to ensure our teams are fully supported and performing at their best
  • Act as a strategic advisor/coach to company leadership
What You'll Need
  • 10+ years experience in People Operations/HR with 5+ years leading various people functions, including recruiting, at a high-growth operational and technology organization
  • Proven experience supporting a rapidly scaling organization, including supporting a blended workforce
  • A track record of successfully implementing operations, ideally in a regulated healthcare environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience working with a diverse team
  • Business savviness - connect the strategy of the People team to overall business goals
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with executive thought partners from across a business; including but not limited to tech and operations
  • Strong desire to work in an early stage startup environment that is fast paced, complex, and has minimal barriers to make decisions (no 'red tape')
  • Passion for helping individuals experiencing complex chronic needs such as homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorder
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with executive coaching and/or talent acquisition
Why Join Us

We offer a competitive salary: $190,000 - $240,000 (depending on experience), equity compensation package, flexible vacation policy, comprehensive health, vision & dental insurance, 401k, and a monthly $100 work from home expense stipend. We provide the equipment needed for the role and offer opportunity for rapid career progression with plenty of room for personal growth.
