About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Director of People Operations to join our team at Wildtype. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and implementing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with our company's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Leaders: Collaborate with our leadership team to build a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Lead People Strategy: Develop and implement a people strategy that supports the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retirement.
  • Build and Implement Policies: Create and implement new policies and processes to support our people operations functions, including payroll, benefits, compensation, performance management, learning and development, engagement, and compliance.
  • Enhance People Management Programs: Develop and implement programs to enhance our people managers' skills and abilities, ensuring they are equipped to lead and manage high-performing teams.
  • Define and Execute Engagement Plans: Develop and execute plans to enhance employee engagement, retention, and development.
  • Work with Leadership Team: Collaborate with our leadership team to embed our values and culture into our strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Manage People Operations Functions: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our people operations functions, including payroll, benefits, compensation, performance management, learning and development, engagement, and compliance.
  • Develop People Analytics: Develop and maintain people analytics to inform our people strategy and decision-making.
  • Support Diversity and Inclusion: Support and plan quarterly diversity, equity, and inclusion workshops and initiatives.
  • Manage Immigration and Visa Sponsorship: Oversee our immigration and visa sponsorship processes.
  • Oversee Benefits Administration: Manage our benefits administration processes.
Requirements
  • 12+ Years of Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in people operations, with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP Certification: Preferred certification in human resources or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in people operations, with a track record of success in building and implementing people strategies.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and analyze business data and trends.
  • Startup Experience: Experience working in a startup environment, with a willingness to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • World-Class Empathy: Demonstrated ability to work with empathy and understanding, with a focus on building a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary range of $185,000 - $230,000 per year.
