Job Overview

Position: Compliance Consultant

Summary: As a Compliance Consultant at AugmentJobs, you will play a crucial role in guiding organizations to navigate the complexities of legal and regulatory frameworks. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting and executing compliance strategies, performing audits, and managing risks to ensure that clients uphold their regulatory commitments and effectively address compliance challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Analyze and interpret compliance obligations to ensure clients meet their regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement tailored compliance programs and policies that align with clients' unique operational needs. Create frameworks for regulatory compliance, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and evaluations to assess clients' adherence to regulations and internal policies. Identify deficiencies, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Evaluate compliance risks and formulate strategies to mitigate those risks. Provide actionable recommendations for strengthening internal controls and compliance practices.
  • Design and facilitate training sessions and workshops for client personnel to improve their understanding of compliance obligations and foster a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Prepare in-depth reports on compliance audits, evaluations, and investigations. Document findings, recommendations, and corrective measures. Present these reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary liaison for regulatory authorities and manage all interactions concerning compliance matters. Oversee responses to regulatory inquiries and investigations.
  • Review and revise compliance policies and procedures to reflect updates in laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure effective communication of policies throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications in compliance (e.g., CCEP, CISA) are preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in compliance consulting, regulatory affairs, or a similar role.
  • Strong grasp of compliance principles and regulatory requirements, with experience in compliance programs, audits, and risk management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in analyzing regulatory requirements, compliance data, and risk assessments to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage compliance projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams and delivering results within set timelines.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adept at working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
