GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a designated section of the store while also managing overall store operations in the absence of the Store Manager. This position is pivotal in ensuring the store opens and closes efficiently, supervising team members, and fostering a welcoming shopping atmosphere. The Supervisor is tasked with ensuring that merchandise is presented effectively and that the workspace remains orderly and clean.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring Safety and Security:

  • Prioritizes safety in all actions and promotes safe practices among team members.
  • Maintains vigilance on the sales floor to uphold a secure shopping environment, addressing any safety concerns promptly.
  • Oversees the security of the premises, including managing access points and conducting regular checks on security systems.
  • Ensures that emergency exits are unobstructed and accessible.
  • Implements accident prevention measures and manages emergency protocols effectively.

Customer Engagement:

  • Treats all customers and team members with respect and professionalism.
  • Exhibits friendliness and courtesy at all times, recognizing team contributions through company recognition initiatives.

Brand Representation:

  • Upholds and promotes the company brand consistently.
  • Maintains a professional appearance in line with company standards and ensures compliance among team members.
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization throughout the store.

Merchandising Duties:

  • Ensures that product recovery, sizing, and markdowns are executed according to company guidelines.
  • Facilitates the receipt of merchandise deliveries and manages stockroom organization.
  • Coordinates the placement of merchandise on the sales floor efficiently.

Loss Prevention:

  • Adheres to loss prevention protocols, maintaining a strong customer service presence to deter theft.
  • Handles confidential information and cash responsibly, demonstrating integrity in all interactions.

Front End Management:

  • Implements best practices to optimize productivity at the front end, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
  • Trains team members on cash handling procedures and customer service standards.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Manages cash handling procedures and oversees payroll administration.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in customer service and supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with retail operations and point-of-sale systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry items as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees Retail Associates and Stockroom Leads as applicable.
