Position Summary

As a Licensed Pharmacist within the MedBox division at AmeriPharma, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include managing pharmacy operations, supervising pharmacy technicians, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will be the primary point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to patients and healthcare professionals, addressing inquiries and fulfilling their requirements.
  • Oversee a team of pharmacy technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Execute pharmacist duties with precision, including verifying prescriptions, managing transfers, and ensuring patient safety through comprehensive reviews.
  • Manage inventory effectively, including drug ordering and maintaining optimal stock levels to prevent shortages.
  • Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy regulations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain an organized workflow to minimize errors and ensure timely medication delivery.
  • Identify and escalate operational issues to management, proposing viable solutions for improvement.
  • Evaluate team performance, providing constructive feedback and identifying training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance operational efficiency and implement best practices.
  • Handle recall duties as assigned, ensuring prompt and accurate management of recalled products.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues professionally.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in supervising and motivating pharmacy staff.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in pharmacy software systems and electronic health records.
  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient care.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and willing to take on additional responsibilities.

Education and Experience

  • Valid Pharmacist license in CA, in good standing.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
