Job Summary

As a key member of our Pharmacy Department, you will be responsible for personnel management and workflow of 6 Pharmacist FTEs and 11 Pharmacy Technician FTEs that staff in the OR/Procedural areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Clinical and Operational Medication Management needs of all Operating Rooms, Procedural Areas, Preop and PACU units.
  • Manage personnel and workflow of 6 Pharmacist FTEs and 11 Pharmacy Technician FTEs.
  • Serve as primary liaison to Nursing and Physician leadership of these areas.
  • Optimize services, safety, and regulatory compliance of medication usage.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy or related equivalent.
  • Completion of PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or equivalent practice experience preferred.
  • California Pharmacist License upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate employees and lead teams.
  • Strong clinical skills, particularly perioperative and procedural medication therapy.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers.
  • Strong analytical skills.
