Role Summary: The Adult Residential Assistant Administrator oversees the residential, respite, and hold programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in the absence of the Administrator. This role is essential in maintaining high clinical and ethical standards while delivering services according to agency procedures.

Key Responsibilities: The following duties are integral to this position:

  • Provide care and treatment aligned with the needs of residents.
  • Ensure compliance with state OAR and other licensure requirements.
  • Maintain qualified staffing levels as per regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external providers for seamless transitions in care.
  • Foster positive relationships with referring agencies, community professionals, families, and clients.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude towards the agency and job responsibilities.
  • Uphold high standards of performance and morale among staff.
  • Communicate the agency's mission and policies effectively to staff.
  • Adhere to and enforce agency policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement operational policies for service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate facility and resident records in compliance with regulations.
  • Report on program operations to the licensee and program director.
  • Ensure program compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Supervisory Duties: In the absence of the Program Administrator, the Assistant will supervise all Adult Residential Specialists.

Work Schedule: This position requires weekend coverage, with flexible options available.

Educational Requirements: Candidates must meet Oregon State (OARS) standards and possess MHACBO certification as a "Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA)" through one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field.
  • A combination of at least three years of relevant work, education, training, or experience.

Experience Requirements: Candidates should demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Minimum one year of experience in the mental health field.
  • Ability to lead and supervise staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with program systems and inter-program collaboration.

Certifications and Licenses: A valid Oregon driver's license and insurable driving record are required. Personal automobile insurance is necessary for client transportation or agency-related travel. Candidates must meet the requirements for MHACBO QMHA Certification and maintain CPR/First Aid certification throughout employment.
