Role Summary: The Assistant Administrator oversees the residential and respite programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and agency procedures. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest clinical and ethical standards in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities: This position encompasses a variety of duties, which may evolve over time:

  • Provide leadership and training in care and treatment for residents.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Coordinate staffing to meet operational needs as per regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate collaboration with community providers for seamless transitions in care.
  • Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including families and community professionals.
  • Exemplify a positive attitude and uphold the agency's values.

  • Communicate agency policies and procedures effectively to the team.
  • Develop and implement operational policies in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for compliance and operational oversight.
  • Ensure program operations adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.

Supervisory Duties: In the absence of the Program Administrator, the Assistant will supervise the Adult Residential Specialists.

Work Schedule: This role includes weekend coverage with flexible scheduling options.

Educational Requirements: Candidates must meet Oregon State requirements and possess MHACBO certification as a "Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA)" through one of the following:

  • A bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field.
  • A combination of three years of relevant experience, education, or training.

Experience Requirements: Candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • At least one year of experience in the mental health field.
  • Ability to lead and supervise staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with program systems and collaboration with other services.

Licenses and Certifications: A valid Oregon driver's license and an insurable driving record are required. Personal automobile insurance is necessary for any client transportation or agency-related travel. Candidates must meet the requirements for MHACBO QMHA Certification and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
