This position is located in the Facilities Engineering division of the Fuel Department, Naval Supply Systems Command. The successful candidate will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer, performing the full range of supervisory duties over assigned personnel. The position involves managing and directing the Fuel Department Engineering division, encompassing a comprehensive program for the improvement, repair, and maintenance of fuel facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct the Fuel Department Engineering division, overseeing the improvement, repair, and maintenance of fuel facilities.
- Provide technical direction and oversight to employees, interacting with various government agencies.
- Serve as a technical representative on studies, inspections, surveys, design reviews, and other engineering/technical duties.
- Make decisions concerning the repair and design of fuel facilities.
- Plan and conduct engineering studies, surveys, and inspections to develop recommendations for improving fuel storage and handling operations.
- Develop detailed specifications for improved fuel handling systems.
- Review plans for construction of petroleum, oil, and lubricants (POL) facilities and recommend improvements for more efficient fuel movement.
- Represent the Naval Supply Systems Command in conferences with authority to act on matters within assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
- Meet minimum qualifications for the position and educational eligibility requirements.
Pay and Benefits
This position is classified under the General Schedule (GS) pay plan, with a grade of 13 and a full performance level of 13. Telework eligibility is not available for this position.
