Role Overview:

The Lead Manager, Ophthalmology Omnichannel Insights is a pivotal member of the Omnichannel Analytics & Reporting team, tasked with evaluating the effectiveness of promotional channels across both healthcare professionals and patient segments. This role involves generating insights and identifying opportunities to assist commercial brand teams in optimizing their promotional strategies and content.

Moreover, the Lead Manager will serve as a primary resource for commercial brand teams, providing in-depth analyses and addressing new reporting requirements.

This position is an individual contributor role that collaborates closely with various partners, including global and regional commercial brand teams, marketing, Commercial Insights teams, Omnichannel Strategy & Operations, and Information Systems. The role also contributes to the harmonization of data and sharing of insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with brand teams to comprehend objectives and develop a measurement framework for campaigns in the HCP and DTC sectors.
  • Implement the promotional analytics measurement framework and plans.
  • Analyze promotional data to derive actionable insights using diverse analytical methods.
  • Coordinate with media agency partners on performance reporting and media execution governance.
  • Identify and propose optimization opportunities for promotional tactics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of investments.
  • Oversee the onboarding of promotional data sets and work with stakeholders to streamline processes, ensuring a robust data foundation for analytics.
  • Engage with Global and Commercial Division Commercial Insights leads, Omnichannel Operations team, Global Brand Directors, and Affiliate Brand Managers to disseminate insights from channel analyses and guide optimal use of reporting dashboards.
  • Provide consulting during the campaign design phase to ensure clear objectives, proper tagging of content assets, and integrity of measurement data.
  • Contribute to various commercial analytics projects as required, such as Customer Segmentation and Promotional Mix Analysis.
  • Co-develop Omnichannel Analytics frameworks and continuously seek improvements in methodologies and processes.
  • Address data quality issues and implement solutions to maintain accurate and reliable data.
  • Manage third-party providers as necessary, ensuring deliverables meet contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Promote an Ethics and Compliance culture by proactively addressing non-compliance issues.
Organizational Context:
  • This role supports US brand initiatives concerning consumer omnichannel analytics, collaborating with agencies and cross-functional internal stakeholders, including brand teams, Omnichannel Strategy & Operations, Brand Analytics, and Market Research.
  • Internal Stakeholders: Brand Marketing, Omnichannel Strategy and Operations, Brand Analytics, DAT, IS.
  • External Stakeholders: Media Agencies.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in statistical analysis and modeling within complex analytical projects (e.g., Multivariate Analysis, Clustering, ML techniques).
  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS and/or R, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Familiarity with visualization tools such as Qlik View/Qlik Sense and/or Tableau.
  • Experience in developing KPIs and diagnostic metrics.
  • Experience in promotional analytics: HCP non-personal and Consumer data (US Only).
  • Ability to present business insights and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all employee levels, including senior management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional projects of moderate complexity in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to act with urgency while being responsive to shifting business priorities.
  • Willingness to travel 10-20% as needed.
Preferred:
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline or MBA with a focus on Marketing Analytics, Decision Science, or Analytical Finance.
  • Experience collaborating with global partners.
  • Research design experience.
