Job Overview
MV Transportation is in search of an Operations Manager to deliver guidance, leadership, and support to designated operational staff, ensuring the successful execution of the division's strategic objectives within our dynamic transit sector.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Monitoring performance metrics to ensure they align with client and corporate standards.
- Achieving or surpassing division-specific goals and targets.
- Providing comprehensive training and support to subordinate personnel to foster their success.
- Ensuring adherence to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Promoting and communicating the company’s vision, values, and culture throughout the operational framework.
- Minimizing liquidated damages and addressing any operational failures promptly.
- Fostering positive employee and labor relations.
- Overseeing the management of the operations department.
- Mentoring potential successors for future leadership roles.
- Effectively managing the annual budget for the Operations Department.
- Assuming the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
- Certifications as mandated by local contracts.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations, along with company policies.
- Experience in the development of operational schedules and staffing plans.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on guiding teams to success.
- Capability to devise solutions to challenges through effective planning and execution.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Compensation range: $30/hour - $35/hour
