Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations Management
    • Oversee the management of Warehouse Operations Managers and staff to ensure operational excellence in all warehouse/commissary areas.
    • Ensure efficient operations of warehouse inventory management system (WIMS) and related equipment.
    • Manage inventory receipt and issuance, and ensure safe processing in accordance with established business process compliance SOPs.
  • Problem Solving and Process Improvement
    • Assist the General Manager with problem solving and evaluation of work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing to achieve accurate and timely movement and processing of product.
    • Manage warehouse layout to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Leadership and Development
    • Coach, train, and develop warehouse managers and staff through informal and formal training programs.
    • Provide job performance-based feedback and ensure compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreement, Disciplinary Guidelines/Work Rules, and Attendance Policy.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Model and lead a Recognition and Safety culture.
    • Ensure 100% implementation of Aramark Safety Programs, State, and Federal Regulations.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Own and foster effective communication at all levels of the organization.
    • Liaise with client and local operations council and workgroups.
  • Administrative and Reporting
    • Prepare, develop, and execute action plans on FDA, Business Process Compliance, and Wage and Hour Audits.
    • Support the accurate administration of payroll, human resources, and operations reports.
Requirements
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience managing an operations team.
  • Key experience in customer service leadership, foodservice or route sales operations, performance management, training, and development of front-line managers/personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain DOT certification to operate DOT-regulated vehicles.
  • Client interaction, communication, organization/time management, multi-tasking, detail-oriented, accuracy-driven, and proficient computer skills are critical to success in this role.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures and experience handling perishable products.
  • Industry background in vending, food service, route distribution, retail, or related fields.
  • Ability to work various shifts of a 24/7 operation.
