Job Summary

Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Shop Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our machine shop, ensuring that all production activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of machine shop personnel to ensure timely and high-quality production of aerospace components.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees to improve their skills and productivity.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production and delivery of components.
  • Manage and maintain machine shop equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in machine shop operations, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership and supervision in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software and programming languages.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Experience with quality control and assurance processes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
