About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to lead our Solar Array Manufacturing team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly and testing of solar arrays for our spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and manage production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
  • Assist with the transition from development to production, including first articles.
  • Perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections to ensure compliance with engineering models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial lifts.
  • Setup and operate precision calibrated tools, including torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance area safety and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions, including daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and disciplines.
  • Basic computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and work in small, restricted areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certification, trade school training, or a degree in a related field.
  • A&P License.
  • Prior military experience.
  • Space TEC certification.
  • Experience with instrumentation and electrical components, and test.
  • Avionics assemblies build and checkout.
  • Aerospace/Launch vehicle assembly experience.
  • Clean room experience.
  • ESD awareness.
