The Director of Maintenance Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing exceptional maintenance services to our residents, and leading a team of maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure the highest standards of plant management and upkeep.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all facilities, including common areas, residences, corridors, and exterior areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent resident satisfaction.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; public or private vocational/trade school/apprenticeship training in building maintenance/engineering preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in maintenance in a senior living community, hospital, residential, hotel, or similar building engineering environment required.
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate for a maintenance position in Assisted Living communities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to communicate with residents, guests, and fellow employees.
