Duties and Responsibilities:- Supervise and Coordinate Care: Supervise and monitor nursing staff to ensure the highest quality care is provided to our residents.
- Conduct Daily Rounds: Make daily rounds of all residents to assess their condition, provide care, and address any concerns.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care, including vital signs, medication administration, and progress notes.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Wellness, Executive Director, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure our residents receive the highest level of care.
- Staff Development: Assist in the orientation of new staff members and provide guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
- Admission and Discharge: Complete admission and discharge evaluations as necessary, ensuring a smooth transition for our residents.
- Equipment Maintenance: Check equipment for cleanliness and condition, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Interpersonal Relationships: Foster positive relationships with residents, visitors, and staff, promoting a warm and welcoming environment.
- Education and Licensure: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program, currently licensed to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Work Experience: Experience in the geriatric field, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of older adults.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and families.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Certifications and Training: CPR certified, or obtained within 90 days of hire and yearly thereafter.
