IT Help Desk Technician

Location: Lake Mary, Florida

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of client and mobile voice and data systems for the organization, under the guidance of the Senior Director of Technology.

Compensation: Starting pay is competitive, beginning at $18.00+/hr, based on experience, with opportunities for professional advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the monitoring, installation, configuration, imaging, and proactive upkeep of enterprise Windows workstations.
  • Provide installation, configuration, and support for client and cloud-based applications, including Microsoft Office and remote support tools.
  • Manage the monitoring, installation, configuration, and proactive maintenance of voice and mobile systems, including Mitel client devices and Apple/Samsung mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve deskside support issues related to PC hardware, software, applications, printers, scanners, and fax devices.
  • Ensure the monitoring, installation, setup, configuration, and proactive maintenance of enterprise security systems.
  • Document all projects, tasks, issues, and steps for issue isolation and resolution.
  • Maintain organized and tidy environments for technology equipment.
  • Facilitate efficient Help Desk operations, ensuring rapid identification and resolution of technology requests with prompt and courteous responses.
  • Report and escalate unresolved high-priority issues without delay.
  • Provide training to staff on the use of PC and mobile hardware and applications.
  • Assist with additional business support activities as directed by the Senior Director of Technology.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three years of progressive experience in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Three years of customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Availability for critical business issues outside of standard hours.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of modern hardware and standards.
  • In-depth understanding of telecommunications protocols and configurations.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and services.
  • Able to lift computer equipment and peripherals weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with applicable data privacy practices and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly terms.
  • Ability to effectively research technology standards and issues as needed.
