The Director of Maintenance Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing exceptional maintenance and repair services to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure the highest standards of plant management and upkeep.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of maintenance funds.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; public or private vocational/trade school/apprenticeship training in building maintenance/engineering preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in maintenance in a senior living community, hospital, residential, hotel, or similar building engineering environment required.
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate for a maintenance position in Assisted Living communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to communicate with residents, guests, and fellow employees.
