Position Overview

As a dedicated Pastry Artisan at Pb On 30th Inc, you will play a crucial role in our culinary team, showcasing your passion for baking and creating exquisite desserts. Our commitment to quality and excellence is reflected in every item we produce, and we seek individuals who share this vision.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Expertly fry donuts, apply toppings, and artistically decorate pastries and breads.
  • Execute kitchen operations and production tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare and bake a variety of dessert recipes.
  • Perform general oven duties, including monitoring dough conditioners.
  • Gather and prepare all necessary materials and ingredients.
  • Scale and shape breads, loaves, and pastries with precision.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Possess a solid understanding of production methods and the organization of bread-making processes.
  • Prioritize and complete daily baking tasks effectively.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all team members and customers.
  • Receive, stock, and store food items in an orderly manner.
  • Notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions and manage inventory levels.
  • Complete production, usage, and waste reports as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food production processes, sanitation, and quality assurance.
  • Understanding of food production techniques, food microbiology, and safety practices.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, labeling, and nutrition (including FDA guidelines).
  • A degree in Confectionery or Food Sciences is preferred.
  • Food Handler's Certificate is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Embrace feedback as a tool for growth and improvement.
  • High emotional intelligence to work effectively with diverse teams.
